There are literally thousands of way to keep your body in shape. Some of the are good, some not so good. If you have ever been to a gym, you have probably seen the big guys standing in front of the mirrors flexing their muscles. These guys use the heaviest of weights to tone and grow their muscles into perfections. If you want to be one of these guys, or just want to keep your body in good shape, you should really consider getting some exercise bands.
Exercise bands are in fact just elastic rubber bands that you can use for you workout. If you have never tried them, you should know that there is virtually no limit to the number of exercises you can do with the bands. You can train just about every muscle in your body with the bands.
Exercise bands often come in different colors. These indicate how much tension there is in the bands. More tension means more resistance, which will give you a better workout. It also provides you with the opportunity to have good progress in your training.
A lot of trainers advice you to start out with a resistance that you can train with fairly easy to get your muscles ready and used to the exercise bands. This is a good idea for most people. The exception is of course if you have used exercise bands before. Then you can train a bit harder from the start.
The reason to train with exercise bands are many. The biggest difference between the bands and working out with weights in the gym is that it is a lot cheaper and you don't have to leave home. You can, if you like, use the bands to get your body in shape to take the step up to training in the gym with the big guys. One thing is certain at least, you don't have any reason not to try them.
